submission

YAY! great news! dr.gurd said that i can say on my nserc/ogs/restracomp applications that the paper has been submitted!!! WOOHOO! ... and tho being submitted means absolutely nothing, cuz it has yet to be revised, accepted, printed, and can fail at any of those stages, STILL!! woohoo!! (and btw, i hate applying for scholarships, etc, so i've never done it before... and now i hafta apply to three... and three bigs ones at that ... gebus! more free money i guess... to pay for gas... i wanna live in alberta.)

on to other news... i've been watching waaaaay too much TV and playing waaaay waaaay too much Spider Solitaire. it's so addictive. like alcohol. which reminds me... i should call the doctor and start my TB drugs.... oh! and i'm not the only TB freak around - Daman also had to go on the drugs! :P ... but he doesn't drink alcohol anyway, so it doesn't affect him as much. dammit!!! after this saturday, i'll start.... cuz Johnny's cousin's bday party is on saturday - free drinks and food! i like Ivan's email, Ivan's funny. i'm gonna copy his idea, cuz i'm an unoriginal copycat - gotta start amassing (is that a word??) embarassing pictures of everyone!

my dad took my metropass today - man, he knows NOTHING about public transit! he's been spoiled - he's always had a car. 'cept in China - he had a bike then, with a ghetto-baby-seat in the front for me (wait, did i have a baby seat? i don't think cassandra did, so i may not have either... billy, do u remember??)... i don't think he's EVER been on the subway system in china... wow weird... i love the Shanghai subway - so efficient, so on-time, and so air-conditioned in the 40-degree weather... i hate the Beijing subway - what's the point of going up the stairs, just so u can go down the stairs, then up the stairs again, JUST to switch trains in the same station??! why not build just ONE set of stairs to go up?! crazy architects! but then again, i hate almost everything about Beijing, so whatever. (almost decapitation and almost getting run over by taxis and huge green buses can really do a number on the psyche of munkee ... i held my mommy's hand when i crossed the road for the rest of that summer... shut up. u'd be traumatized too if u were me... my bra strap was cut dammit!!!)

and speaking of mommy.. she's been telling me about my birth... i pooed inside her - that means i died. the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck and i didn't breathe when they slapped me. and i didn't breathe for a very very very long time... 'til they yanked the oxygen tube outta my mom's nose and stuck it in my nose. babies are so fragile.

anyways, gotta email CC now. :P
