Lessons

General lessons I learned this xmas break:
1. Don't trust any promise made by vain cousins in china
2. Don't buy me bath products - i take showers, not baths
3. Boxing day shopping sucks... boxing day parking in malls sucks even more (i got lucky, but if i didn't, there would've been a lot more bitching)
4. I racked up >400km in mileage in one week
5. Red motorcycles look good - i still don't approve though
6a. There are two types of engineers: type A are difficult to get along with and say all the wrong things at all the wrong times and make me pissed at them very easily, type B are nerdy but hide it a lot better and are easy to get along with and to make fun of and mock, and they do it back too but with style and wit and ease. some type Bs are even funny and cool!!! I like Type Bs. Type As - ay. *sigh*
6b. Don't call me weird in a non-joking way when u don't know me at all. even if i am ur friend's cousin, that doesn't mean u can call me weird when u don't know me. now, if you were a Type B, that'd be okay when i'm in a joking-kinda mood... but sinec you are a Type A, that makes u already socially inept and therefore too difficult to get along with even without mocking me first.
6c. Once you piss me off at the 'first-impression' stage, it's practically impossible to make me not dislike u again, as hard as you may try.
7. Engineers make shitloads of money
8. I wanna live in california
9. Stanford medical school expects International students to provide documentation that they can afford all 4 years of med school before they allow you to register - CRAZY!
10. Malaysian food = yummy. Sinyee's mommy = good cook. Sinyee's dad = talks a lot, but he's very cool.
11. T-H-O-M-A-S spells thomas!!!
12. Four-year-olds can play Scrabble with the 28-year-old and still kick their asses... so the 4 year old had help from me, still. (he's so cute! he thinks that he kicked all of the "uncles"'s butts all by himself! hehehee... AND! i taught him how to spell ZOO and EVE! and it was so cool cuz the tv was on, and it said "new year's eve" on it (it was new years eve), and he saw and went "LOOK! EVE!! E-V-E!!!" and then gave me this big proud grin and told me he's in kindergarden and in two years he's gonna start grade 1.)
13. Don't name ur kid after cartoons/comic strips - they will get mocked later on in life (esp. by me... but only when they get older... it's too mean to mock 4 year olds). Thomas the train (tank engine??). Sherman's lagoon. etc. I told sherman (he's 9) to name his future brother Bob and his future sister Dora (should he get any) ... SpongeBob and Dora the explorer. yup.

Lessons I learned from Scaramouche:
firstly, Scaramouche is a restaurant (google it). it's a strange restaurant near Avenue/Dupont that is at the bottom of a 5-story condo sorta thing... 'cept it's a super duper expensive restaurant (i.e. $97/person ... x7ppl... = lotsa money).
1. Scaramouche makes really really amazing maple walnut bread - i ate lots. i could've just eaten that for dinner - it was THAT yummy. ... screw the $97, i could've paid $0 for the bread. oh so yummy... *drooling*
2. Foie gras = gras. there's no foie. it didn't taste anything like liver. it was just all fat (not a good thing). if you wanna know what foie gras tastes like, go to a chinese restaurant and order their peking duck OR go to a chinese supermarket and buy one of those hanging ducks. Then, cut out the fat underneath the skin. Fry the fat quickly, and hten eat it. the texture and taste will be no different than foie gras - juz a shitload cheaper!!!!
3. real coconut cream pie is the yummiest thing in the world.
4. pot de creme is actually a pot of cream - coffee flavoured at scaramouche - soooooooooo yummy.
5. what the fuck is squab?! whatever, it tastes like ass anyway
6. my mashed potatoes are not the best in the world - i have now had better
7. veal tastes exactly like beef - texture and taste
8. venison is yummy
9. squab is gross

Other lessons i learned:
1. I am the QUEEN of screw ur neighbour
2. I am the QUEEN of crazy eights count down
3. I was the queen of the Chuzzle, until my mom beat my record... now i'm the princess of Chuzzle.
4. Any "alliance against munkee" attempt will fail miserably! buhahahhahaa! *evil laughter*
5. I suck at mahjong - i don't think
6. Toronto food is cheap, cf. california
7. i still wanna live in california
8. I now know what eating xiaolongbao the 'real way' is like ... apparently, i ate it the 'white way'. meh. i was 7 when i left, so too bad.

in other news - leehom has a new CD out!! i got the gold preorder thing, and they should be calling me in 3 weeks for the new album. YAY! ... billy thinks leehom looks like the chinese eminem... i don't disagree... but i think leehom is smarter than eminem...

going sleep now... woke up at 4 to drop billy off at airport... billy didn't get to leave 'til at least 10:40 cuz there were weather problems at O'Hare ... boy oh boy do i dislike O'hare airport... dislike, not hate. i'm trying to stand by my word. and yes, i still hate him, and yes i will still dance on his grave when he dies.
