today is... the 19th... i'm 10 days past due posting these things...
so thursday, i woke up, and took the caltrain to chiantown. billy told me that were these $2 dimsum places, so i was like, oh yay cool!!!! but then i went, and it was actually really bad!!!! it was the nastiest $2 i ever spent! ok, maybe not. but it was pretty bad... ... then i walked to hyde/Filbert - which is totally not a tourist attraction, no one was there. but it is the steepest street in SF, according to my six dollar map. it was soooooooooooo steep! it was really cool. ... i don't know if i'll have time to post pics anytime soon, but whenever i do, u'll see how crazy steep it is. ... from there, i walked to Hyde/Lombart the crooked street... they have pretty houses. chinese tourists are annoying. the SF bus sytem rocks! i spent one fifty and rode the buses alllllllllllllll day. it was cool. ...
Fisherman's wharf was really really really dumb, i spent like 2 minutes there, and then went in the 'ancient arcade games' tent thing (that's not what it's called, but they have ancient arcade game stations in there)... it was funny/cool - they had a lot of "adults only" game stations... u basically pay a quarter and watch some plastic doll strip. funny! ... and no, i didn't try it. ...
Alamo square was next. what's alamo square u ask? well, it's where the opening credits 9the houses) in FUll House was filmed!!!!! ... that's the only reason i went there. and i wasn't the only one either! heheheee.... there were like 2 other ppl there taking a million pictures of the full house house... heheheee... and while i was sitting there, enjoying the view, a golden retriever came up to me, and i was like "COMET!!!" (um, that's the dog's name in full house, in case u forgot!) ... but i think comet would be dead now, and it wasn't comet, but it was pretty damn cool!
Next stop was suposed to be the park underneath the Golden Gate (GG) bridge. but i passed Japan town on the way there on the 22 bus, so i jumped off and went to japan town. japan town is COOL! ... mainly cuz we dun have a japan town... they had the kunnoiyiapapiwethao; bookstore (dunno what it's called), and i spent a good hour in there (i like bookstores, what can i say... even tho most of their books were in japanese). there was another littler store there that sold soooooooooooo many different origami papers, etc - i wanted to buy 'em all!!!! but i didn't... *sniff* thinking abou tit, i should've... oh well, too late. they also had this place called "Sophie's crepes", but as it was already close to dinner, i didn't get it... outside the mall, there were mostly japnaese restaurants... with a couple of korean ones splattered in between... too bad we had dinner plans already. finally, i went to the damn park, got off at the wrong stop tho... so i ended up walking a lot on chestnut street, which btw, isn't very interesting. ... finally, after getting lost cuz the streets are messed up and not how it actually looks on the crazy map, i ended up outside the Exploratorium - a lot smaller than the OSC from the outside!!! ... there were some Tibetan dancers/drummers outside of the Exploratorium, in this really nice artsy place with really big greek columns, etc. it was really pretty!! i wanted to spend more time there, but billy was pikcing me up. if i had know he would be so late, i would've spent more time... oh well! ... i waited on baker street forever, so i took a picture of the street. SF sidewalks are cool - at the interesection, if u dunno what street u're on, u can just look down and read. (or i guess u could look up, but down is easier for me cuz i'm short. ;P) ...
finally, we went to Basil and ate thai food. fish cakes are good. no fishy taste at all!!! the tom yum soup was weird. and my order sucked ass. ... the duck was good tho... overlal, i don't recommend the place. ho well...
end of the day: billy took me to the park underneath GG bridge, and we took a bunch of pictures. it was an okay nice day. we also went to Port point, and we sorta 'got lost', and found this really nice place with this AMAZING view. ... it was really really really cool man!!! ... i'll post pics...
honestly, i don't remember this day very well... since it was so long ago.
finally, we crossed the GG bridge and went to North Bay, where billyl's friend has a house. well, he rents it, and he went on a business trip so he let us use his house. it was the nicest house EVER!!! he pays like four grand a month for rent, US! and the house is worth no less than two million, we speculate. it's soooooooooooooo nice. and there's a lemon treet in front!!!! it's a baby lemon treet tho, so it only has one lemon... and billy wouldn't lemme pick it... dammit!!! :P then munkee went to sleep.
