This, was the rantings of a crazy 50 year old man on the subway.

Lisa's going back with Ben... it'll be, *ahem*, very interesting... wonder what my grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins will think... i'd like to watch this story unfold... hehheee... i'm so bad.... Ben thinks i know waaaaaaaaaay more chinese than him cuz i came here after he did... he's forgetting that he's almost 5 years older than me. for the record, i was in junior kindergarden when i went to SA, i.e. i could write maybe 5 chinese words?! so there. he was in grade 3. i came here in grade 2. and we've been back an equal number of times... when he goes back, it's purely for pleasure... two of my trips now have been not for pleasure, two outta five. this one, admittedly, will not be for pleasure for him... actually, it'll indeed be torture, poor sucker. good luck man! hahahaaaa!!! i hope his dad realizes that more ppl like me than him.

There's a Shanghainese restaurant at Metro Square - it's got the best shanghainese food (we've tried basically all of the shanghainese restaurants in the GTA), and the cool part is, we always get a discount there! heheheee... the owner is so nice. 'cept she doesn't recognize me cuz my shanghainese is crappy. altho my accent is a hell of a lot better than ben's dad's!!! and that's juz sad, cuz he's spent more half of his 60yr old life there, and i've spent maybe 8 years total there, and almost all of those 8 years were on campus, where shanghainese was never ever spoken (hence the reason i'm so crappy at it ... i replace words that i don't know with cantonese words... it's so funny...)
