sick

grr... i haven't been sick in sooooooooo long.... even when elly had her continuous bouts of illness (fine, i couldn't catch anything from her since she's like a 10hr drive away!!!), and others were sick too, i didn't get sick... but now i'm getting sick! stpuid crazy air conditioners that are BLASTED at max, when it's seriously not even that hot outside!!!!

Today, i went to the Old Mill again for that "neuroscience and mental health" thingy - it used to be called smt else, but dept'al shifts changed it all. I think the head of the dept has a superiority complex now... but anyway. for one the introductions, my PI said "hmm... this man reminds me of myself.... first, i think he's american [no one laughed... cuz, well, guess why]... and he's been to many places... graduated from Univ. of Rochester, and has been to Boston, ... [lists a bunch of other places]" .... THEN, he goes "you're quite a traveller! but i've been to...." and goes on to list like THREE times as many places! and not even towns/cities, but STATES! i thikn my PI has worked/lived in like a third of 50 states or smt.... :P awesomeness.
Oh ya, so it was the Old Mill that had its a/c at max...
and can i just say, the Old Mill is FREAKING far from my house!! so, i got on the subway two stops from the end on the east side, and the old Mill station is four stops from the west end!! MAN Toronto is HUUUUUGE! It took like, almost an hr on the subway alone!! aaaaah!

bigger news: I think we broke a world record.
i spent a full 12+ hours online yesterday, talking to Mu Yang. i'm so not exagerrating.... i logged on first thing in the morning (as always, when i do'nt have places to go, things to do), and then logged off at like... 11:30PM or smt.... that's really late for me... duh. anyway, we laughed, we cried, we shared many stories. that sounds cliche, but it's true!! HAHAHAA!!! oh, and my computer was so overheated and my avocado butter was right behind it, that my body butter melted!!! it was soooooooooo weird trying to put that stuff on!! hahaaaa! it still smelled nice tho.... edible, as always. :D

my eyes hurt.

Kirk and i were soooooooooooooooooooooo bored today during the talks, we were drawing random random things, and playing 3-way hangman, and passing so many ontes we used it fully 2 booklets!!! hahahaaa! (with yevgen too tho) ... and then we ate lunch together with a bunch of other ppl... and wanted to sneak out after lunch, but dang it, our PI was staring at us!! so we couldn't just leave.... and THEN, we thought he was gonna sit right in front of us!!! but luckily, he didn't, so we were able to sneak out with only like 2 lectures to go... i was planning to get home at 2... i got home at 5.... and am sick.... grrrr...

oh, and Ade, i'd just like to say that i really really don't like your PIs.... So honestly, i'm fine with moochers of free food, cuz we all are, aren't we? But when you suck up sooooo much to my PI after not attending ANY lectures (they literally stood outside of the hall, and then literally were the FIRST ones at the buffet table - they beat US, and we RAN upstairs cuz we were so hungry... ['k, Kirk walked quickly and i half ran cuz of busted ankle, but still, faster than normal walking]!!!!)... it really made me sick.... and to think that you were slaving away in the lab while ur PIs took their time out of their oh-so-fucking-precious-day to come get free food.... geeez. i wouldn't put it past them if they MADE you not come.... Oh, and then i was told some other stories about them too.... so uh, they're freaking BASTARDS! oh, nad hey hey, everone knows they're not very popular!!! hahahaa! wonder if they know that... wonder if they care.... i wanna give them cut eye.... i don't care if they're brilliant researchers. they are mean people, and that matters more in the world. grrrrrr!!!
