sunday

today was my last sunday in beijing w/o AY, before my trip .... my cousins were supposed to take me out all weekend, but that didn't happen.  today, after my mom got pissed at the older one, we went out for fish, yet again.  baaaah.  this place was pretty good... all these different concepts of how to cook fish are very interesting and not that bad on the palate... i still dont appreciate fish tho.  i ended up eating tons of "cha siu so" instead!  hahahaaaa!  this place was kinda like hotpot too, in that the fish is cooked in front of u in a large pot of boiling smt... but this smt was this really really really delicious tomato soup.  it was so good.  i could just eat the tomato soup and be happy... i.e. without the fish.  :P  the bill was tremendous tho.  this was the first restaurant i've been to in China where there are no "open" tables, i.e. they were all private rooms!  and the rooms have COUCHES!!  totally for business meetings (or other stuff)!  this was reflected in the price - >1200yuan for 7 ppl!!!!  ok, not that expensive by Canadian standards... but really expensive by China standards!!!

anyway, we went home after the restaurant and i watched ER... then my other cousin showed up very unexpectedly (i was still walking around in my underwear... i always walk around in underwear at home!!!).... so i had to sit down, and then wait for him to go into the bathroom before i ran into the room to get shorts!!!  :P  he played my DS for a little while, and then we went out to 1) get me tylenol cold meds, and 2) to walk the stupid dog.... and we talked... and i got THREE mosquito bites!!!  that brings it to a total of 9 mosquito bites.  3 in Beijing in the first 6 weeks, 3 in the span of 10seconds in Shanghai, and now 3 in about 10minutes (in BJ). 

that's my interesting day.  too bad i was so sick.... i would've enjoyed it more if i wasn't.

at the very end of the evening, my cousin said he'll ask his [many] friends to see if anyone has any connections to leehom.  LIKE HELLO?!?!?  WHY DIDN'T HE LOOK INTO THIS BEFORE?!?!?  sheeesh!  obviously, my obsession isn't wild enough!!!  but at least i got my aunt to recognize leehom now, on the Beijing subway (the coke MV).
