people... weird....

Ade's flight was delayed, so i was waiting around for quite awhile at the airport.  While there, several convos happen:

Dude: blah blah blah [in korean]
me: I'm not korean
dude: blah blah [in korean again]
me: I'm not korean
dude: English??
me: yes, i speak English
dude: *wait* Your english is pretty good!!!! 
me: *looks confused, thinking uh-duh, then realized he must think i'm from here...*
[note: my English was only "pretty" good.... riiiiight.... Oh ya, and then he told me he's been having problems looking for a hotel cuz they don't speak Korean at the counters... well, DUH!  I said they do speak English and he was being all uppity on me.  and then i said that i had some time and could help him if he wanted, and he said no and walked away!!!  what the fuck?!?!?!?  trying to be nice gets you no where.  I resolve to be a bitch to everyone 'cept ppl at work/school from now on!!!]

at Starbucks:
me: Do you have chai latte?
barista: no, no chai
me: ok... *starts to walk away disappointedly*
barista: We have tea latte, do u want tea latte??
me: ... chai is tea... ????
barista: *looks confused* We have tea latte, do u want tea latte??
me: u mean GREEN tea latte??
barista: We have tea latte...
me: *sigh* no thanks *walks away frustratedly*

On the escalator in the subway (not in the airport), wearing a shirt with school name & program on it:
A woman looks me up and down (which is VERY annoying!!), reads my shirt, and....
Woman: To-ron-to ... toronto!
me: *nods*
Woman: ck-chinese
me: sorry??
Woman: k-chinese?
me: pardon??
woman: Chinese?  or American??
me: errr.... i'm Canadian
woman: ahhhh, Canadian!!!!!  *look of sheer surprise on her face*
[note: if u know "Toronto", how do u not know "Canada"????  is Toronto in "America" now???  stupid people!]
