Sex study

Two groups of teens:
1) Swore abstinence, or wore chastity rings, or crap like that
2) Did not do the above

Result: No difference in age of onset of sexual activity (ie. promises
are empty), but those in the first group are much less likely to use
protection (ie. more dangerous/risky behaviour)

I'd like to tell the pope this. And steal his hat. In ur face, all u
proponents of the idea of not teaching kids about safe sex - they're
gonna do it anyway, DUH!! And by not teaching them, you're just
putting them at an increased risk of STI's and pregnancy, etc!!!
Stupid super religious morons. So many un-wanted bastards!!

...
Another point: In an unwanted teen pregnancy, u have three options...
1) abortion, 2) carry it keep it, 3) carry it and give it up for
adoption. What teen girls actually decide is split 50/50 between
options one and two (hardly anyone gives the baby up for adoption).
what's interesting tho is the following:
- the girls who failed out of school, or aren't attending school, or
are doing badly in school tend to carry it and keep it (i.e. IMHO
making a bad decision for both mother and child)
- the girls who do well in school, who think about a future, etc
choose to abort (i.e. the smart option for an un-wed teenaged mother
w/ limited financial and other means)

(obviously my comments don't apply to everyone. Happy endings like
those found in Gilmore Girls actually do happen in real life. I know
of one.)
