sick... so sick

the night before was horrible - neck sore, couldn't feel left side of body.
yesterday, went to the doctor at the walk-in clinic. first she measured my temperature - 38.8. then she looked in my ear, then my throat. ear was fine. throat was funny - she looked absolutely disgusted, and then asked "does your throat hurt" ... "nope!" ... "really??" *giving me this disgusted slash surprised look* ... she said "well, u're a strong girl, and u can't feel ur throat now.... but u're gonna feel it in two days!!" ... then gave me 10 days worth of amoxillin and i went off in search of an open drug mart - it was xmas day. .... went to loblaws - closed. went to pharmaplus, closed. went to shoppers, closed. woohoo. finally, went to the only 24hr shoppers i know of at kennedy/eglinton - FINALLY! after a GRREEAT conversation that we overheard from the pharmacist to some idiotic woman on the phone, i got my drugs. ... (the convo consisted of "are you bleeding on your underwear? then you have your period! ... you have eggs... and hormones... ur eggs come out once and month.... then u get ur period... yes, you bleed because of the eggs... once a month, yes.... stomach? no.... not stomach... period? ... menstration?? ... does your tummy hurt?... that's called menstrual cramps..." etc. we were making fun of the convo pretty loudly... then the pharmacist came out to talk to this guy we were standing beside - he was about 25. so the pharmacist says to him "i just had a lengthy conversation with your mom... she needs this drug" ... so he wasn't talking to some 10 year old girl who got their period for the first time, he was talking to a MOTHER.

anyways... i got pissed at ben last night, again. ugh. ignorant and stupid. he dosen't appreciate anything he has, and seriously, he's one of the luckiest people in the world - pretty much handed everything on a silver platter (but not by his family, just by luck). yet he doesn't appreciate it at all. UGH!

what else? oh ya, i'm so sick, so my mom's not letting me go out. brings back memories (good thing billy's here!!!) - i was 4 or 5, cassandra was 3 or 4, billy was slightly older, and it snowed in shanghai! our first snowfall. and shanghai is one of those cities that will absolutely break down if there's even half a cm of snow on the ground, or even a light dusting - so this was rare, and we all (the kids) wanted to go out and play, and build a snowman that the americans and american TV has told us about and we wanted to copy them. we all got dressed, and then my mom comes outta the big room to say "no, you can't go out". i cried, again (cuz this keeps happening to me!). and my only option - i got to stand on the kitchen balcony and watched billy and cassandra build the pathetic little snowman (there wasn't much snow). ... anyways, so that's what's happening now. *sigh*
