kinda bored

waiting for stuff to incubate... looking at CIA world fact book and found this:

Languages of the world: Mandarin Chinese 13.69%, Spanish 5.05%, English 4.84%, Hindi 2.82%, Portuguese 2.77%, Bengali 2.68%, Russian 2.27%, Japanese 1.99%, Standard German 1.49%, Wu Chinese 1.21% (2004 est.)

Note: Wu Chinese on the list, Cantonese not on the list. just thought u should know... cantonese popular here, but not in china, or the world in general

Wu includes a bunch of different dialects that i guess all sound similar, but not the same (cuz i can tell them apart [which is a feat, considering i don't really know shanghainese...]). ... mainly includes shanghainese, and suzhou-hua and other regions around shanghai.

now i just hafta learn shanghainese, again. grrrrrrrr....

(how do u get non-smoggy pictures?!? i'm looking at pics of shanghai - all of my pics of shanghai are smoggy... do i need a special lense???)
