sharon, lois, and bram

a few of days ago - watched leehom vids on youtube... a bunch of which played his family vid, with his bro, singing the skinnimarink song.  thought: "i know that song!  wow, leehom knows it too!" ... tho he knows a crapload more songs than me, i think EVERYONE knows a crapload more songs than me! ... but he knew a kiddie show song...

 

the day after - thought "where's that song from?  oh ya.  DUH!  stupid munkee... can't believe i just asked myself that..."  ... if u don't know, then *sigh*, those are great days that u missed...

 

yesterday - thought "hey, wait... didn't sharon, lois and bram, or some combination there of, come to crescent town at some point? ... i think they did... but they didn't bring the elephant... or did i see them at CNE?!" ... couldn't remember, but shortly thereafter, another thought: "hey, that means that they're canadian!  aren't they?!?!  they must be, cuz big bird never came to my school!  nor did elmo, or even the french monkey from sesame street!!!" ...

 

today - googled them.  and they ARE canadian!!  apparently, they were popular in the states too.  the show played on CBC for us, and Nickelodeon for them.  and the three of them were awarded the Order of Canada in 2002.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharon,_Lois_&_Bram)   AND, Today's Special is ALSO CDN!  heheheee.... TVO for us, and some other channel for them.  ... so ya, leehom watched our cdn baby shows.  Under the Umbrella Tree was CDN too.  they're all CDN, all the ones i liked.  (i didn't like SS much)
