... Karaoke was VERY fun yesterday! never had so much fun at karaoke before!!! yes, i'm definetely addicted to karaoke now. hahaa! even tho i like butchering songs.

Also, re-met Veronica yesterday. i'm selffishly happy that she's not taller than me! hahaha!

went to Nancy's new place yesterday. dark hardwood looks awesome. all of their furniture matches! it's so unlike the chinesy houses that we're used to! :P it's nice. and baby Ryan was cute. that's the perfect age - between 8mths (or whenever they start walking) to the age of 4. before that = annoying, after that = annoying. yup. that's also when they're the cutest.

the bad thing is that Ryan will not know any chinese whatsoever when he grows up. and that's just really pathetically sad.... nicky is proud of the fact that his child will not have a chinese name, to which i rolled my eyes. .... Whenever I meet an Asian person who doesn't know their own language at all, i.e. not even understand it when it's spoken directly to them, i think "pathetic"... and i don't think that's being fobby. You look chinese (or viet, or whatever), so u'll always be associated with that group, no matter how hard you try to be anti-asian. believe me, i've been there, done that. So it's honestly nothing to be proud of. (i don't endorse being super fobby and speaking in asian languages to ppl who don't understand it either) *sigh* ... luckily, there aren't THAT many ppl like that here. Why are some 20-smt-year-old asians still so anti-asian-culture?? ya, be proud to be ABC/CBC, but unless you change ur DNA and make urself look completely non-asian, you can't ignore your history. and for god's sake, learn to appreciate ur own culture and ur roots, or at least learn something about it.
