rat blow job

Ya, it sounds gross... but it's true!!! I had to "observe" my AYs today to see if they were seize-ing (which, btw, i failed miserably at! ... i guess the fact that i'm looking for "absence seizures" should explain why i failed - the seizures were absent! Dr.C tho knew when they were seizing cuz he's the super expert). anyhow, i didn't think rats had penises, but guess what, they do! and super long ones too (for their size)!! so, i'm used to my rats grooming themselves - they do that all the time. but when one rat pushed down on his abdomen and this skinny little pink thing poked out, i was rather surprised! at first i thought it was his finger (he was holding it), but then i realized none of his fingers were that long. and then, and THEN! he started grooming his penis! and grooming, for ppl who've never watched a cat groom, involves licking!! ... he used his teeth too, which they usually use to trim their nails, but anyhow. ... ya, so my in-the-gutter mind immediately thought 1) "EWWW!", and 2) "he's giving himself a blow job! ... cool!!!" ... and then i thought of that email forward i forwarded ppl in high school and how every single person yelled at me for that... gebus... it's not like i took that picture... shish kebob.

i'm finally somewhat excited about my project. somewhat. I wanna do so much now, but i have no time now, which really sux. but i totally don't mind going in on the weekends, so i guess it's okay. i'll try to make it work. no sleep for me 'til april - yay. dr.cortez gave me some ideas, wicked ideas. i have direction now, yay!!!! (FINALLY!!!) and lee's gonna help me with IHC - other ppl know jack. in the proc.room, it said "dr.lee"... but lee is his first name... it makes it funny. his mice are cute. but apparently very vicious. but they're cute cuz they're little. my rats aren't cute cuz they're big now, but they're a billion times friendlier. they're still scared of me cuz they dunno me... oh well, they won't be around for too long. oh, and i went to visit another lab today - sooooooooo organized, i wanna work there soooooooooo badly!!! so i talked to the tech, who is so very very nice, and she's letting me use her bench, and their centrifuge, and everything! hopefully i'll get the room access code so i could do stuff on the weekend, etc. she's great.

there are too many lipid raft prep techniques. i hafta entirely make my own new protocol... cuz daman/shintaro's is like, omg crazy. and this way, i don't hafta make a continuous gradient - discontinuous ones are like, a million times easier to make.

so the following ppl are in that new class i'm taking:

- Grace (the piano player at my mom's church... the one that gave me attitude at utsc... but she's actually pretty nice... just not very good at recognizing ppl other than "hey, aren't from utsc?" ... "ya... AND, i was in ur biochem and biochem lab and microbio classes, AND i've been to the church u go to a bunch of times and waved at u and u ignored me, AND i talked to u at school and u gave me attitude. but anyhow." ... seriously, she is actually pretty nice. and helpful.
- Adina ... yo, ADINA! she doesn't talk with a lisp anymore. dunno if she stills BSB tho. she's a year ahead of us (cuz she fast tracked at her new school) and she's almost done her masters... she was very surprised when i told her i stayed at garno after i moved... her expression said "Why would u stay at THAT school?!?!" ... my reasons: there was all of one month left, and prom was 2 days later. anyways. She asked about a bunch of ppl... i told her about Ester and Laura's trip, and how Ester is a photographer and Christine is a journalist in the States, and she was uber uber shocked. I guess i would be too... from enriched science and math to journalism and photography!! (and ester only took physics when we had to! ... physics, light, get it??? tho really, it doesn't have much to do with physics, but still...) ... ya, what else did we talk about? not much... cuz it was just a short elevator ride down, and that's pretty much it. oh btw Indra, TGH is soooooooooooo nice!!! or maybe i was only in the new/nice area... but still. Sick Kids certain parts are really yuck, but of course the Atrium is freaking nice [and very cute, matches the kids]. so far, Toronto Western still sucks ass the most. ASS!!! (but Booster Juice is pretty yummy and filling! i got the Warrior booster on tuesday - i'm a warrior!!! :D)

I had my first TA thingy on thursday... I was confused, i didn't know whether Dr.Gurd wanted me to stand in the class or to hide... so i was doing half and half, which made me appear and then disappear which made it weirder... oops! i was so confused. so, he talked, then introduced me, then i took attendance and did seating plans for Stephan's lab, NOT my own! ... and he lectured, and then we had a TA meeting for too long. Stephan talks A LOT, no wonder his kids never have enough time to finish the graphs in the lab! (we did all of our graphs in the lab, didn't we?? cuz i remember asking Dr.Gurd questions) ... anyways, Sheng and this woman are the other two TAs. this woman never went to utsc, and doesn't know much... and she says she's a tough marker, so i don't think her kids are gonna like her much. My kids aren't gonna like me much either, cuz i know NOTHING!!! woohoo...

my posts are longer now cuz i don't post everyday. and i actually have stuff to talk about now

my new face wash is good, but not great... i don't think i have 'sensitive skin', but it's not drying out my skin, which the normal one does... i hafta use a lot less lotion now, even tho i now have 2.75 vats of it (.75 cuz i used a bunch already) ... i bought lots cuz they were on sale at pacific... it's great lotion/moisturizer/i dunno what the difference is.
