pets

There's a cat and a dog at my aunt's place in Beijing...

The cat's name is my name, so i never call her by MY name, only as "cat".  The dog's name is Diudiu (diu = to throw away... someone threw him away and my cousin took him in).  They aparently didn't used to get along, but semi get along now... mostly cuz the cat avoids diudiu's little 'home' (corner of a room).

anywho... the cat used to not like me, but she doesn't care for anyone now.  she likes to hide in various places all over the place.  she also gets priviledges that the dog doesn't, like she's able to roam the house while the dog is usually not allowed to leave her corner.  :P  (otherwise, she jumps on ppl...)

I took the dog out for a walk yesterday.... she's so strange... past a certain point, she just won't go any further!  i don't know what she's seeing/smelling/feeling/hearing, but I don't see/smell/feel/hear it and she does and she thinks its dangerous!!!  it was really annoying cuz i wanted go to for a jog at a point that was further than that.  *sigh* 

so my conclusion is:
- no cats cuz then billy will NEVER come visit me, and also cuz i don't like cats to begin with
- no dogs cuz i don't like walking them and think they're more trouble than is worth it (for me)
- no pets cuz finding a pet-sitter is harder than finding a baby sitter
- no pets cuz they're germ-y and expensive.  :P

in other news....
Mom's "60th" bday today - by Chinese calculations.... so we're going to a 休闲 something... i have no clue what it is... All i know is there's a pool there, and volleyball??  and u can just sit there and relax??  I'm very confused.  My cousins aren't coming today.  :(  My older cousin doesn't really talk to me, i get along waaaay better w/ the younger one... *sigh*  I wish i was in Shanghai.... my cousins there have more time to hang out with me and i get along w/ more of them... :(
